FRESH meat... FRESH vegetables... FRESH vision.

I am going to tell you a story. Its a story about a Municipality in Guatemala, in a Department called "High True-Peace" roughly translated to Alta Verapaz. The Municipality is called Raxruha but that is about all you need to know about Raxruha because it could be any place without enough schools and with generations-long disadvantages in education infraestructure, poor teachers with too many students and not enough high quality training who resort to drinking and chasing their female students will all but the best of intentions.

One of these places where we say or think: oh my, what can one do there? what good can come of a place such as this? sigh...

And this is a hopeful story.

The only problem is... it has just begun. So follow me, Nicholas Politte, a recently "graduated" Peace Corps Volunteer who is going back to his Peace Corps site, Raxruha, Alta Verapaz where, as the name reads, the waters run green and the future is full of young minds who are molding the direction of a clean, promising new Municipality.
